I’m so excited to announce the launch of my book, Super Sick: Making Peace with Chronic Illness. I wanted to write something that was candid about what living with a chronic illness was like, and have spent the last couple years putting this story together. It includes interviews with many other people who have chronic illnesses and conditions. I wrote Super Sick because writing is cathartic for me and helps me sort out my own emotions, and because I wanted other chronic sufferers to know they are not alone. Some of these chapters were incredibly difficult to write, and I hope readers find them valuable. The book’s unique spin is how it engages with pop culture, including science fiction, fantasy, comics, and video games. I delve into how fiction portrays illness and why that’s important to those of us suffering from disabilities. It’s available as a hardcover, softcover, and ebook (large print and audiobook coming soon!).

Did you miss the online launch party?
On April 17, my publisher, Mythos & Ink, hosted an online launch party for the book on Facebook. I read a sample from the book, there were giveaways, and we had a panel discussion with some amazing women who are experts in the field of chronic illness. If you missed the launch party, you can still catch the recording below, and be sure to enter this giveaway, where you can win a copy of the book and some gorgeous jewelry.
Thank you for supporting me and my story!
