Database of SFF Book Editors

Are you looking for an editor for your sci-fi or fantasy novel? Check out the list below! If you need a refresher on what the types of editing are (e.g. developmental editing, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading) check out this article. Some editors define these terms a little differently, but they should specify on their websites what their services include.

Please note: I’m not affiliated with any of these editors (besides myself). I highly recommend you request a sample edit before hiring anyone to see if you will be a good fit for each other. The rates below are what the editors listed on their websites in March, 2023. Check their websites for up-to-date info on their rates and services. For fun, I’ve included editors’ favourite subgenres, but most will edit anything under the umbrella of sci-fi or fantasy (but check their websites for things they don’t edit; for example, some avoid horror, some prefer not to work with hard sci-fi, etc.).
